Is a Credit Card the same as a charge card?

No. A charge card allows you to pay for goods on the card, and pay for them later, but a credit card offers a continuous line of credit. This means you do not have to repay the whole loan as long as a minimum payment is made monthly.

Charge cards often incur an annual fee because you don't pay interest on purchases. But, they tend to offer very competitive reward programmes in exchange for the higher fee. An example of a charge card is American Express or Diner's Club.
